We had a very good stay for for a one night stay.
Everything was simply nice. The hotel was a perfect base for enjoying a very comfortable area, right by the train station and the bus terminal, and Kyoto Train. The food was reasonably priced and local! The staff was very professional and incredibly polite.

Hotel staffs are nice and very helpful on transportation and restaurant booking. Good location, close to Kyoto station and bus stop with several CVS nearby. Room condition is almost like brand new. Lady guests will receive surprising supplements.
Not many stores and restaurants around the hotel other than CVS.

The hotel location is excellent, just a 5 minute walk to the train station. The hotel staff were excellent, very helpful, and spoke English. They were very accomodating. The hotel and the room were very clean and well maintained. The rooms are compact (probably about the same size as most Japanese hotels in this price range) but comfortable. We had a double room, and the bed was larger than we expected - probably comparable to a queen size bed in the USA. There were vending machines right down the hall from our room, with drinks (including beer), a small microwave, and an ice machine - all worked just fine.
Nothing we disliked.

Just a great fit for a flying visit in Kyoto with the best value for money ratio. The staff even provided complimentary umbrellas for the rain, super helpful.

hotel : business hotel, no tour group, mostly local, new, modern & simple decor location : 3 blocks from JR Kyoto station, cheaper choice ( than other hotels around), 10-15 minutes from the historic center by bus or subway. transportation : Kyoto station is the transportation hub, you can easily get anywhere from here, but for the hotel, use Kujo subway station instead, less confusing lobby : nice and bright. room : good size for Japan, not big but not tiny, new, simple decor, functional, spotlessly clean & very fast wifi, very reasonable price (around $100 single & $170 twin) bathroom : new, functional, small pre-fab plastic bathroom, hi-tech toilet, bathtub, spotlessly clean with everything you need including hair-dryer Breakfast : buffet Japanese style and continental breakfast, worth it because a piece of cake costs half the price staffs : polite and helpful, let us store the big luggage for 3 days for Takayama trip check-in & check-out : after you get the key card, you pay at some kind of money machine in the lobby, fast& accurate, auto check-out by leaving the card at the machine I would recommend this hotel if you plan to use Kyoto as a base to travel around the region and don't need a big fancy expensive hotel.
The pillow is too small and too hard for my taste

Magnificent location to Gion area or Nishiki market, super-friendly staff, everything was well-maintained. We stayed at the decent size room with almost new condition and an actual double sized soft bed, as example.

We loved the hotel. The staff is friendly and speaks English. The room was very spacious.
Although the hotel is very close to Kyoto station, the station has to be crossed in order to reach the bus terminal.

housekeeping starts at 7AM and waked me up every day...

It has marvellous and perfect location steps away from an up-to-date mall. You could walk to a big shopping mall and a market...

Location and good value. Relatively new facility.
Not including breakfast in price of room. Price of breakfast seems very high.
